Aug 16, 2024When I was 8 years old, my Papa finally let me ride his ornery horse, Buckskin. I was so excited until Buckskin threw me off, leaving me with a face full of dirt. But instead of letting the tears fall, I heard my Papa’s voice, ‘Are you going to let him get the better of you?’ I didn’t. I grabbed the reins, got back on, and showed Buckskin who was in charge.
